On December 15th, the second batch of 56 Wuhan "city partners" was officially released. Dr. Kaiping Tai, the R&D director of Jiayitong Technology, was selected as the “Provincial and Municipal Industrial High-end Talents” and was invited to participate in the symposium as the second batch of Wuhan “City Partners” candidates.
Kaiping Tai graduated from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University in July 2009, and then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; he was selected as the "Hundred Talents Program" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014; he was hired as Wuhan in February 2016 R&D director of Jiayitong Technology Co., Ltd., has long been committed to the preparation and characterization of thin film materials, the testing of mechanical properties and thermal properties of nanostructures under extreme conditions, and the development of in-situ transmission electron microscope sample rod technology.
Among them, the research and development results obtained in the field of in-situ transmission electron microscope sample rod technology have been recognized by domestic and foreign peer experts, and have been reviewed as recent by IBM and "Science", "Chemical Reviews", "Advanced Materials" and other important international academic journals. The most influential research progress in the field of in-situ electron microscopy characterization of nanomaterials in the past ten years has been included as an important progress in the book edited and published by famous scientists C. Barry Carter and David B. Williams in the field of electron microscopy research: "Transmission Electron Microscopy: Diffraction, Imaging, and Spectrometry" (Springer, Heidelberg, 2016). In 2017, Dr. Kaiping Tai will lead the R&D team of Jiayitong Technology, a leader in the analysis of thin film materials, to industrialize this achievement. The in-situ transmission electron microscope sample rod is scheduled to come out at the end of 2017 or 2018.
